Today is the perfect day to start living your dreams.
Chasing dreams one photo at a time!
For as long as I can remember, photography and the outdoors have always been in my life. It started with my mom, she was always following us kids around with her camera while we made mud pies or were exploring our property. She had a deep love for being outdoors, always planting flowers and trees, exploring the mountains and river spots near our home. Her love for nature is one of my favorite things that she shared with us. Photography didn’t come until later in life. It wasn’t until 2015 that I decided to get a camera of my own. I quickly learned that photography and being in the wild was a place to for reflection and peace of mind. I spent several years learning who I am and what I am capable of from behind my camera.
In 2020, I started planning my very first solo camping trip to the Steen's Mountains in Burns. Life had drastically changed earlier in the year and I knew it was something I needed to do for my soul. Little did I know the experience I would have would change my life for the better and one I will forever hold onto! The only thing I would have changed about that trip is I wish I would have invited a few girlfriends with me so I could have shared that experience. It wasn’t long after that trip that I started making moves to take my life back and start living life on my own terms. In March of 2021, I packed everything I owned in my car and moved to Montana.
This was the second best decision I have ever made for myself. With an abundance of wildlife and wide open spaces there is no better place to call home. I have learned there is something to be said about women who love the outdoors. We are stronger than the credit we are given and we are capable of so much more when we work together. There is a time and a place to do things solo but some adventures are better with like minded people. After several conversations about how much time I was spending looking for wildlife with my camera. It really got me thinking "How many other women would want to spend their weekend’s right alongside me, enjoying this view?" Why not start sharing this beautiful place with other women who have the same love for photography and wildlife as I do. This was the moment Gypsy Wild Adventures was born. I want to share these beautiful spaces and experiences with other ladies who love the outdoors but may not want to explore with their camera by themselves.
I am so excited for you join me on this grand adventure while creating memories, friendships and building the confidence to live life on your terms!
With love, Shanelle
